City of Simi Valley
In 2015, Governor Brown declared the drought in California a state of emergency and enacted a mandate requiring every city to reduce water use. The City was lacking a way to effectively communicate changing policies and the need to conserve water to residents. We started the #WheresYourBucket campaign. The campaign asked residents to use a bucket provided to them by the City to collect the cold water from their shower and reuse it around the house. This is a family friendly activity that everyone in the household can participate in and it encourages a constant reminder to the whole family to continue conserving water.
